🌟 Nope. Students frequently report cutting their time spent on assignments and studying in half or more once we start working together. If you were on a safari through through the jungle, wouldn’t you want a tour guide who knows the terrain?

3️⃣ Higher education is no longer valuable.
🌟 Higher education isn’t necessary! But it still has value. It can open doors, get job applications past AI checkers, and teach you a whole lot about the world. It’s also essential for a variety of career paths.

I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to quit

I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to quit when I was in grad school.

🛑 Public speaking?
🛑 Competitive classmates?
🛑 Learning to use an EEG machine?
🛑 Grading hundreds of undergrad papers?

Often, what stretches and challenges us is what helps us grow and transform.

My best advice for students is to take it one day at a time, one task before the next.

I think the saying people give to new parents applies here:” the days are long, but the years are short.”

Before you know it, you’ll have graduated and your current challenge will be nothing more than a memory.

Within a couple months of leaving my corporate wor

Within a couple months of leaving my corporate work-from-home job, I had decided what my next venture would be: tutoring.

✅ My boyfriend is a former web developer, so while I was fretting about how to find clients, he emphasized the importance of having a website.

✅ The name “Stats with Emma” sounded good, so he started building the site.

✅ I paid a barista $100 to take some professional-looking photos, and I started to appear legit. Stats with Emma was a “thing.”

✅ I filed my LLC paperwork in September 2023 and started working with my first client that month, a referral from someone I’d tutored in the past.

✅ My next client came in October 2023 (from Instagram, somehow) and my next in December 2023 (from a Facebook group, and we still meet weekly!)

✅ I found another 17 clients throughout 2024, and another 20+ already in 2025.

Seeing someone else’s blueprint like this would’ve given me a lot more hope and confidence starting out a year and a half ago.

If you have an idea you care about, go for it! You’ll only regret it if you never start.
