If your professor hasn’t mentioned parametric and nonparametric tests (or t-tests/ANOVA) yet - don’t worry about this!

If they *have*, it’s never too early to start memorizing which tests are for which types of data.

My grad program didn’t go into much detail about nonparametric tests, so I’ve enjoyed going back to learn their names and parametric equivalents.

It can be a lot to memorize. My next series of posts will cover each type of test and end with a table matching each parametric test to a nonparametric option you can use in the cases where your data doesn’t meet the necessary assumptions.
